Past Life Regression is based on the theory that we return to this earth many times in order to have experiences and evolve and grow as soul. As souls learn about life in a physical body they can find out how to overcome the really negative challenges of human life. The soul's mission is to learn more about love, kindness , peace, fulfillment, beauty and truth by experiencing the opposite - the conditions on earth are perfect for those kinds of lessons! Souls incarnate into a new body, but carry the energetic imprint of the most important life lessons or life experiences with them. This helps to ensure that they can move on to new learnings and build on their progress, rather then repeating the same errors all over again. This soul memory is hazy and seems to lie deep beneath the surface of consciousness because it would be a pointless life if we already knew all the answers in advance. But, nevertheless, there exists inside us the basic soul learning so that we can progress and build on our achievments, moving on to the next level. Souls are quite ambitious - something that can come as a bit of a shock if you have never thought about it that way. What to you seems to be an unbearably painful part of your life is often welcomed by the soul as merely useful learning!
Sometimes the hazy 'soul memory' can cause real problems in this life and therefore needs to be brought up to conscious awareness. This enables healing to take place and for the current mind/body to let go of past life troubles or traumas and move onwards and make a success of the current life. Conventional past life regression is usually aimed at healing past life traumas that are actually interfering with 'this life' health, happiness or success. It can be for purely 'educational' reasons, however- there is no limit if you wish to experience past life regression.
Recent television explorations of past life regression have lead to a resurgance in interest in finding out who you were in the past of your soul, as opposed to your family history - two completely different things. Exploration of your past lives is truly revealing, answering many questions commonly asked about life, your purpose, your destiny and why you feel the way you do. It also allows you to experience the ultimate taboo - remembering how it feels to die, pass over and leave your body, freeing yourself from the earthly shell of your physical form. Once you have experienced this phenomenon in trance you will never be concerned about death again. Clients report feelings of freedom and elation, once they know that death is not the end. Furthermore, the knowledge that you often reincarnate with your familiar loved ones allows you to feel the thread of your eternal destiny connecting your past lives with your future lives, and all the possible pleasures that will occur for you incarnating again with those you most care about.
The preparation for past life work involves hypnosis practice and familiarity with trancework - so you can approach your regression with confidence that you will achieve your aims. If past life work is part of your own therapeutic journey (to heal or release issues in this life) then it will form part of the normal treatment programme, by which time you will already be very comfortable with trancework.
